Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. This role focuses on designing, building, and operating highly scalable, resilient, and real-time cloud platforms. You will be responsible for ensuring system reliability, performance, and scalability across distributed environments, while applying modern DevOps and SRE principles to optimize delivery pipelines and operational excellence, particularly within Industry 4.0 and real-time industrial data ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Architect and maintain cloud-native infrastructure on AWS and/or Azure, optimized for high-throughput, low-latency, real-time applications. 
  2. Implement and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure reproducibility and scalability of environments. 
  3. Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of distributed systems. 
  4. Build and operate real-time and event-driven systems, including integration of industrial data platforms such as Ignition SCADA and HighByte Intelligence Hub. 
  5. Drive incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and postmortem culture aligned with SRE best practices. 
  6. Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and disaster recovery strategies for mission-critical systems. 
  7. Troubleshoot complex issues across the stack (infrastructure, networking, containers, industrial integrations, and applications). 
  8. Collaborate with development and industrial engineering teams to improve system reliability, scalability, and deployment velocity. 

Qualifications


  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes. 
  • Experience building and operating real-time or event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, Event hub, pub/sub models). 
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) with experience designing distributed, production-grade systems. 
  • Proven expertise in production-level Infrastructure-as-Code, especially Terraform. 
  • Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Helm) and cloud-native application patterns. 
  • Experience or familiarity with industrial data platforms and protocols, including: 
  • Ignition SCADA 
  • HighByte Intelligence Hub 
  • OPC-UA, MQTT, or similar industrial communication standards 
  • Solid understanding of Industry 4.0 architectures, including edge-to-cloud data integration. 
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, networking, and performance optimization. 
  • Experience implementing observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry). 
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps). 
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across complex systems. 
  • Familiarity with SRE principles, including SLAs, SLOs, SLIs, and incident management.
