Position Overview
We are seeking a curious, motivated Business Analyst with a passion for Data and AI to join our growing team in Germany. In this hybrid role, you will work closely with senior consultants, data engineers, and client stakeholders to support the design and delivery of data-driven solutions for manufacturing clients in regulated industries.
You will gain hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle - from requirements gathering and process analysis to supporting the implementation of AI and data analytics solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior analysts and consultants to gather, document, and validate business and data requirements from client stakeholders.
- Support the mapping and analysis of existing business processes to identify opportunities for data-driven improvement and AI-enabled automation.
- Assist in the preparation of functional specifications, user stories, and use case documentation for data and AI projects.
- Conduct data profiling, quality assessments, and gap analyses to support data integration and migration initiatives.
- Help evaluate and recommend data platforms, analytics tools, and AI/ML solutions aligned with client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that translate complex data into actionable insights for clients.
- Participate in workshops, stakeholder interviews, and cross-functional meetings to support requirements elicitation and solution design.
- Assist with testing activities including the preparation and execution of test scripts for data pipelines and AI models.
- Support the documentation of validation deliverables in line with GxP and other regulatory frameworks relevant to life sciences.
- Stay current with emerging trends in data analytics, AI/ML, and digital transformation in regulated manufacturing.
What You Have to Offer
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields.
- Up to 2 years of professional experience in business analysis, data analytics, or a related consulting role (internships and academic projects count).
- Foundational understanding of data concepts: databases (SQL), data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing principles.
- Familiarity with at least one BI or analytics tool (e.g., Power BI) and/or programming languages such as Python.
- Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate business problems into structured, data-oriented solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German language proficiency is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts such as natural language processing, predictive analytics, or computer vision.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP) and their analytics services.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks in life sciences (e.g., GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11).
- Experience with MES, ERP, or LIMS systems in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical context.
- Experience working in cross-functional agile project teams.
Working Conditions
This is a remote position based in Portugal or Germany. Standard office hours apply; however, flexibility may be required to meet client expectations or service delivery commitments.
