Position Overview
As a People Operations Manager, you will provide operational support across assigned departments, managing all HR matters throughout the employee lifecycle. This includes activities such as onboarding, offboarding, attendance tracking, absence management, contract handling, credentialing, performance reviews, and training coordination. You will act as a reliable partner for both leaders and employees, offering practical guidance on HR-related topics and ensuring that all processes run smoothly and in compliance with legal and corporate requirements.
In addition, you will support recruitment, employee development, and conflict resolution, contributing to a positive work environment and consistent employee experience. Your goal is to help maintain efficient HR operations while promoting engagement, alignment, and collaboration across teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Department Heads in managing HR-related activities across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding projects.
- Act as a bridge between the departments and HR.
- Contribute to improving resource utilization through effective planning and coordination.
- Balance internal priorities with client needs to maintain strong operational and service performance.
- Monitor absences, paid time off, and time recording to ensure efficiency, consistency and compliance with internal processes and Corporate Guidelines.
- Manage HR data and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws, employment standards, and data protection regulations.
- Coordinate employee status changes, leaves of absence, and contract renewals.
- Assist in performance management processes and ensure timely completion of reviews.
- Identify employee development needs and recommend next steps to enhance skills, expertise, and overall team capabilities.
- Support change management efforts, audits and HR projects.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a project-based environment or in a PMO function.
- Initial experience in Human Resources, ideally in the role of HR Assistant or a similar support position.
- Strong operational focus with the flexibility to adjust to shifting business requirements
- Great communicator who builds positive relationships with the ability to handle and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Structured and organized approach with strong attention to detail.
- Collaborative team player with a high sense of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
- Fluent in both German and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
